The Podkarpackie region due to its climate and soil as well as owing to its tradition of willow products making has become a sort of wickerwork products centre. The neighbouring poviats – rzeszowski, niżański, leżajski and biłgorajski produce the largest number of wickerwork products in the whole of Europe.
